The Orthodox Christian faith is the living witness of the Kingdom of God in our world. The Church has maintained the teachings and sacraments given to Her by Jesus Christ that “all might be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth.” These may be lofty words and they are important, but our faith guides us also in the mundane moments of life, calling us to live sacramentally and sacrificially for Jesus Christ and all around us.
The Orthodox Church’s doctrines are clearly taught as the Holy Spirit guides the Church, our belief in the Trinity, the Incarnate God Jesus Christ who came into the world out of love for it to save it from sin and death.
Now we here at Holy Trinity strive to worship Him but also live out our Christian life in community with each other and the broader Phoenix area! Come and see! Worship with us and find out what it means to be an Orthodox Christian, not in thought and online but in life. We stress the 3 C’s: Church, Community, and Classes, through these three, God willing you will find your home.

For centuries, the Orthodox Church has preserved the fullness of the Christian faith — unchanged, deeply spiritual, and rich in meaning. At Holy Trinity Cathedral, we strive to live this tradition not only through beautiful worship, but through love, humility, repentance, and service.
The Divine Liturgy, the prayers, the icons, and the sacred hymns are not performances — they are encounters with God. Every candle lit, every prayer whispered, and every moment of silence draws us closer to Christ.
As Orthodox Christians we are called to engage all of our senses in worship as well, our bodies are to be deified too!
Sight: Our beautiful iconography is able to pull our mind back to God when it wanders.
Sound: The singing and chanting lifts the soul to God!
Touch: We are a physical people, we greet each other in the Liturgy knowing our neighbor is with us.
Smell: The sweet smelling incense we offer should allow us to raise our prayers to God.
Taste: Orthodox Christians partake in the Body and Blood of Christ, united ourselves with Him.
It can be difficult for us in our modern society to know that the spiritual world exists and is just as real as the physical that we see and experience every day, but it is! As Christ says:
John 4:24
Our worship is not one that solely looks to please the physical and certainly not the emotional, but to worship our Triune God in Spirit as He commanded. Christ “who is invisibly present here in our midst” invites our soul to unite to Him in the Liturgy and services of the Church through our spiritual worship of prayers, incense, and offerings to bring this earthly Body of Christ to become one with the Heavenly.
