Whether you are discovering the Orthodox Church for the first time or an Orthodox Christian visiting us from out of town, we are very glad you’re here.

A Welcome Letter

First Time Visitors

If you are new to the Orthodox Church we welcome you in the Name of the Lord! Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral has been a presence in Phoenix for more than 100 years. Orthodox Christian worship may be unlike other forms of worship you have encountered but you can follow along in the service book in the pews. (If you need assistance, simply ask the nearest parish member.)

Our worship is based on and infused with Scripture in order for us to attune our sense to God. All are invited to pray along with us and to enter the presence of God with joy!

Though Holy Communion is offered only to the Orthodox faithful who are prepared to receive the Holy Gifts, the blessed bread (Andithoron) is offered to everyone after the service.

Please sign our Guest Book in the Narthex (entrance/foyer) as you enter the Cathedral and join us for coffee and refreshments in the Community Center following the service so we can get to know you.

Helpful Tips:

Diving Liturgy begins at 9:30 am
(The Matins service begins at 8:15 am)
Appropriate attire is long pants and collared shirts for men. Covered shoulders and dress to the knees for women.
Children are welcome to the Divine Liturgy. We do have quiet/cry rooms in the Narthex (entrance) next to the restrooms for parents who may want to step out of the service to tend to babies or young children who need a break.
You are welcome to light a candle upon entering the Narthex
The Community Center where we have fellowship after service is located at the end of the parking lot on the south side of the campus. Simply ask a Narthex team member of follow the congregants if you need directions.
