Holy Trinity Cathedral is proud to have one of the finest Greek Folk Dance programs in the Valley. Over 120 youth ranging in age from Kindergarten through young adults, and college students participate in weekly lessons which help carry on the Greek culture through dance and music.
Registration for the dance program is held in the spring. The cost for registration is $140 per dancer, $120 for the 2nd dancer in your immediate family, and $100 for each additional dancer in your immediate family. Rehearsals begin in March and are held on Sundays after church. These groups perform at the Greater Phoenix Greek Festival, and at other cultural events and ethnic festivals throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Six groups comprise the folk dance ensembles at Holy Trinity Cathedral. The dancers raise money throughout the year to defray the expenses of their traditional handmade costumes, and also to provide funding support for their participation in the Greek Orthodox Diocese of San Francisco Folk Dance Festival.
